The Shibuya Mark City store, opened in June 2020, marked a significant milestone for the Japanese Chun Shui Tang, setting the stage for its next phase of growth. Located in one of Tokyo's busiest areas, Shibuya, this store benefits from the convenient convergence of multiple private tram lines. Shibuya has long been a pilgrimage site for Japan's youth, but it also attracts urbanites who value fashion and have high consumption power. These individuals enjoy exploring upscale restaurants, cafes, and bars around the Shibuya area.

To cater to this clientele, Chun Shui Tang's management team, along with its overseas business team in Taiwan, spent over half a year developing a new tea-based alcohol series. This series includes five alcoholic beverages based on flavored black tea, jasmine, or Tieguanyin tea, as well as two non-alcoholic beverages based on jasmine or Tieguanyin tea (only available during the evening).

Moreover, to meet the demands of its target demographic, the store introduced several exclusive dishes not previously available in Japan, such as turnip cake, assorted dim sum, crispy golden chicken, and buttery toast. It also offers reimagined Taiwanese favorites like braised pork rice, chicken rice, and omelets, as well as new creations like spicy tofu pudding and spicy soy sauce marinated mushroom chicken.

With around 70 tea-based items and approximately 60 food items, including new additions, the store provides an extensive and diverse menu selection, closely resembling Chun Shui Tang's offerings in Taiwan. The interior design of the Shibuya Mark City store also reflects more elements of Chun Shui Tang, from the circular arch at the entrance to the corridor's corresponding scenery, enhancing the Taiwanese ambiance.

This store's development represents a significant step forward for Chun Shui Tang in Japan, as it not only upgrades the menu structure and hardware but also drives changes in its supply format, laying the initial groundwork for the gradual transition of its target audience.
